Maybe a few Newsletter readers
have a copy of ‘The story of
Marton’ published in 2010
written by Felicity Bevan and
Doreen Bowen, drawings by
Penny Kenward (If not there are
copies still available). Below are
some of the old photos from the
book. But having had a great deal
of fun researching that village and
meeting local people with loads of

the Stubb? There are other similar reports in that
claimed by Welsh princes and its population was Welsh newspaper for a number of years around the turn of the
century and equally so for Trelystan church which of
speaking. This is challenging to say the least. course still has a very popular summer fête annually.

19th century in

detail. Firstly the

church and then,

(with thanks to The chapel was still functioning in 1932, probably later, so
we’re hoping someone might just have a childhood
the memory of attending a function there or even have an
ancient photograph of

Anything of this nature produces more questions and

curiosity which leads to more research and generally

something turns up if you dig in the right area.
