Elaine would like to thank everyone that came along and for their generosity at the Harpwoods MacMillan Coffee
Morning. The bring & buy stall was a sell out and everyone went home with something due to the lovely donations.
Total raised was £340 from 32 customers! A glorious day with the promised views through to Snowdonia.

EVENTS AT MARTON VILLAGE HALL

We have an Evening with Alan Herbert on October 28th, 8 'til late. Tickets
£12.00 to include a hot supper and dessert.
Marton's annual Christmas Craft Fair is on Saturday 26th November, 10.00 -
3.00. Tables still available at £10 each.

TWO SUPER JUNGLE BUSTERS Two lovely people who live in Leighton have recently given up
lots of their weekend and holiday time to clear the wilderness areas of the outer churchyard. They have
cut down unwanted trees and branches, cleared a jungle of brambles and undergrowth, and improved the
surface of the Grasscrete car parking area. They say they don’t want their names mentioned, and that
they just enjoyed working there. So A HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU BOTH.

Defibrillator Fund Raising

REMINDERThe Defibrillator fund raised another £120 at the Village show. This brings the total raised so far to £640 —
over half way to the target figure. Another two Village Hall events for your diary below.
