We all wish both Sylvia Helliwell and Johnnie Oliver a speedy recovery after their recent operations. We hope to
see both of you out and about very soon.
FOR SALE signs are popping up all over the place so Bon Voyage to everyone who is leaving and welcome to all
our new neighbours here in beautiful Leighton.
BEST WISHES to everyone who is having treatment at the moment and we hope that 2017 brings you all good
health and much happiness.
Congratulations to James and Jean Potter as their horse Stephanie Frances won the
Yorton Stallions Mares ‘Novices’ Chase at Bangor-on-Dee recently. In the photo Dave
and Teresa Futter present the winning jockey Harry Skelton and his brother Dan Skelton
(trainer) with their trophies watched by Jean and James Potter (owners). Champagne corks
popping all over the village!

Bon voyage to Sarah & Pete Bowyer and their children Lily and George. The family have
been so much part of Leighton life over recent years and we wish you every success on your
new adventure when you move to live in China where Pete continues his career as a pilot.
Martins Morning Sticks are bagged up and ready to keep your home fires burning!
Cost: £5 per sack (or as marked) and available self service alongside Martin Dyson’s
house in the Pentre. They are stacked up and waiting for you in the bunker so collect
at your convenience and put the money in the box. Thank you. MD
