CONGRATULATIONS to our very own Sally Green who will be celebrating
her 50th birthday (I know it must be a misprint) on 9th March. We hope you
celebrate in style Sally and enjoy every minute with your family and friends.
CONGRATULATIONS to Haydn Jones who on 22nd March will be taking early retirement
after a career of 32 years with Scottish Power. Haydn plans to do a bit more running around
the village and helping out with maintenance jobs (I tried to include tools, his big loppers
and blower but abandoned it for obvious reasons!) Haydn, along with Leighton’s most
Glamorous Granny Sarah, will now have more time to spend with their 4 grandchildren.
Farewell to Vera Tannant of Overhill Leighton who moved just before Christmas to Welshpool and a
Hello & welcome to the village to Trish & Mike Bennett who have moved into Overhill from the South.
CONGRATULATIONS to Danielle At a recent Awards Evening of McCartneys
Estate Agents Auctioneers & Surveyors hosted by Matthew Kelly, the
company's 13 property offices and 5 livestock markets got together to
celebrate those staff nominated for their outstanding contributions across
all parts of the firm.
The Negotiator of the Year went to Danielle Allison of the Welshpool
Office. McCarneys said that Danielle joined us in 2017 and has proven to
be a professional and much respected member of the team who the
company believe has a great future ahead of her. Danielle is the eldest
daughter of Lee and Tanya Allison of Leighton.
Leighton POST OFFICE VAN comes twice a week to the village just for you!
The Post Office van visits Leighton Church gates each week at the following new times:-
MONDAY 10.15am – 11am
THURSDAY 1.30pm – 2.15pm
Call in and see what a great facility this is as it has EVERYTHING that’s on offer in a town Post Office –
you can pay bills, get pensions and allowances, cash cheques, get stamps, return packages etc etc -
but with no queues and no problem parking and it has disabled access. Win Win!
