Rod & Di Stevens Commiserations to all who were unsuccessful in
obtaining tickets to this event. Over 90 people thronged
the village hall to enjoy wonderful hand-made steak
pies by Rikki Lloyd, new potatoes, garden peas and rich
beef gravy. This was followed by an assortment of
delicious puddings. There was a most fantastic
atmosphere that went on late into the night.

Special thanks go to all the ladies who toiled to bring

the event to fruition.

In addition a big 'Thank You' to Mike & Jan Williams for

the rather testing and sometimes humorous quiz Quizmaster Mike Williams
which had everyone on their toes whilst at the same

time being totally baffled. A very big 'Thank You' to Chris Walton for her spectacular

Organisers Laura & Pat Poole pedestal flower arrangement which went on to make £20.00 at auction. Another
highlight of the evening was a beautiful purple wheelbarrow donated by Duncan &

Carol Alexander that was full to the hilt with bottles of wine, spirits and beer. The lucky ticket holder Lou Clare kindly asked

that it be auctioned. The auction was fast and furious resulting in a total bid of £90.00 going to Rod Stevens. The purple

wheelbarrow was won by Pat Poole. So many people contributed to what turned out to be a most enjoyable evening.

Thanks to Emma Green for her stylish design of the poster and tickets. To all those who contributed in so many ways, from

the setting up to the clearing away of the tables. Fond memories of David Griffiths with soapsuds up to his elbows and

David( sweety) Williams helping with the puddings. Thanks to Pat and Laura for all their hard work. At the end of the night

a total of £1.230.00 was raised for Village Hall
