Green Fingers
I knew a girl who was so pure That lady is a gardener now,
She couldn't say the word Manure. And all her views have changed, somehow.
Indeed, her modesty was such, She squashes greenfly with her thumb,
She wouldn't pass a rabbit-hutch And knows how little snowdrops come:
And butterflies upon the wing In fact the garden she has got,
Would make her blush like anything. Has broadened out her mind a lot.
Defibrillator Fund Raising
The Defibrillator fund raised another £120 at the Village show. This brings the total raised so far to £640 —
over half way to the target figure. Another two Village Hall events for your diary below.
