Congratulations to Sarah & Rob Walton on the birth of baby Beatrice, a little sister for Francis and
making Christine & Terry grandparents once again.

Best wishes also go to Terry for a speedy recovery from his shoulder operation.

Thank you to Allan Lloyd on cutting the hedges at the Village Hall and to Rachel, Sarah, Hadyn &
Jane for tidying up the car park.

We were all so sorry to hear of the death of dear Nina Alexander aged 96 years, mother of
Duncan & Kathy and wife of the late Bill. We send our love and best wishes to all of the Alexander
family.

Happy 50th birthday to Russell Cadwallader – yes I know it only seems 5 minutes since he was in
school.................Oh he still is....... but for the last few years its been as Headteacher!

Best wishes to Jean & John Bennett on their retirement and we hope that they have a very
successful dispersal sale.

Welcome to all those who have moved into the village over the last couple of months and Bon
Voyage to those who have moved on. We hope that you will all be very happy.

Congratulations and good luck to James Mead of The School House
Leighton. James has gained a First Class Masters Honours Degree in Physics.
James will now go on to study for a Phd at Liverpool University working on
the LHCb (Large Hadron Collider) experiment in CERN Switzerland.
