THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN
Happy belated 70th Birthday to
Duncan Alexander (centre) who
recently had the whole
congregation congratulating him.
Also Happy 70th Birthday to Terry
Walton (right) who will soon be
celebrating too! Seen
congratulating them is our own
James Bond stuntman Marshall Bayliss.

When it SNOWS you have two choices, shovel or make snow angels. Thank
you to everyone who decorated their houses to brighten up the village,
especially to Sally & Andrew Green’s jolly rooftop Snowman who battled
against the wind and snow and often the winds won!

LEIGHTON VILLAGE Playhouse has suffered in the Christmas storms
and the roof felt needs repairing. If you have the skills and time to
replace the felt please contact us as the children in the village would be very grateful.
The Village Playground have some funds to cover the repairs. If you can help then
please contact us. Tel: Jane on 01938 554149 if you can help. Thank you.

Thank you one and
all.....
Christine Walton
seen here thanking
all the artists that
performed at a
recent very
successful concert
raising funds for the
Church and the
Village Hall.

Bon Voyage to Lou and Derek Clare who have been here in Leighton for many
decades and have recently moved to continue their retirement in sunny Guilsfield.

Bon Voyage too to David and Linda Graham from No 6 Redwood Close.
And welcome to Peter and Linda Watkin who have recently moved into No 6.
We hope that you will all be very happy in your new homes.

Many Thanks to Bethan and David Hawes for their kindness in laying on a feast of mince pies,
Christmas cake and mulled wine for a vast party of Carol singers.
Unfortunately only David, Bethan, Henry, Rachel, David Williams, Jane Walton and I were brave
enough to turn up. However our small group raised a grand total of £100.49 for Hope house.
Many thanks to all who suffered our singing and gave so generously.
