CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
The Christmas lights in Powis Castle Gardens were spectacular but we are sure there were
some National Trust visitors who looked out and thought ‘these lights are good but
Leighton’s look better’! To all those people that decorated their homes in the village we
would like to say ‘thank you’ it was heart warming and made everywhere look festive. For
those who risked life and limb scaling tall trees (Hayden), tied themselves up in knots along
the longest of fences (Sally) and flashed intermittently on the garden shed (occasionally
with fairy lights! – Tony W) we salute you one and all.
Thank you to everyone who decorated the Church in Leighton
so beautifully. At the Christmas Day morning service
our knitting connoisseur Anne Cadwallader is seen here
on the right inspecting the work done on the very
artistic knitted nativity figures and flowers arranged by
Annie Evans to see if it is up to her own exacting creative
standards. Anne C, Roma and all the congregation
thought it wonderful so thank you to Annie E for having
it made and letting everyone share in it. Also thank you
to everyone who decorated the Village Hall for
Christmas.

wife of Eithol of Nantycoed after her recent accident. recent engagement go

who is studying Geography at Aberystwyth University.
