QUEEN’S VISIT

On Saturday the 9th June at the Royal Coffee
Morning Her Royal Highness the Queen was our
surprise guest to present the 100 Club winning
cheques! Seen here with HRH is David Williams
(Chair of Leighton Village Hall Management
Committee), along with Ann Markwick (right)
who had the winning £30 cheque and Lynne
Harris who had the £20 cheque. How HRH
managed to get there as well as being at the
Trooping of the Colour to celebrate her birthday
is a small miracle but we are very grateful that
she did.

If anyone would like to join the slightly flaky team that runs the Village Hall in Leighton you
would be made most welcome. They meet around every 2 months and have a couple of
exciting projects coming up so if you want to get involved in village life this is the time to do
it so give us a ring. (Tel: 01938 554149 evenings).
