The CLARKE OF THE CROWN redd Babingtons confession againe, which

Anthony Babington and all the world said that they lye of yt, I would
see myne owne hand writeinge. And concerninge Babington's letter to
her she said, she never see that letter, nor never heard of itt.
Then the LORD THREASORER proved her receipte of Babingtons letter
written in Ciphers, And also an Answeare from the Queene to Babingtons his letters the
same being in Ciphers sent by a serving man in a blewe Coate and soe proved all the
pointes of her said letters. When mention was made of the Earl of Arundell therein she
wept and blubbered saieinge Woe is mee that the house hath suffered soe much for my
sake and after blubberinge oute a tyme shee said, If I ever made any such deuise
against the Queene my sister I pray God I never see the face of God.

many likely premises up for
sale or lease, and 1 site for
building, none of which were
suitable, and also refused 2
offers of premises outside
Triangle House Welshpool. Then came the
offer from Welshpool Town
Council of the lease of the first floor of Triangle House,
above their offices, which fulfilled all of our requirements. Volunteer Archivists
